Special aspects of mounting

The attachment of the plug connections of the 2021 sector controls has been streamlined for waterprotection.

The motor boxes of the 2021 generation stay compatible with the sector controls from the previous year.

If, after the installation of the new motor box, the cable appears to be too long, manage the cable according to the following illustration.

Please ensure that the cable is laid without kinks in a loose "S" and fix it with the cable ties supplied at the point shown in the photo in order to prevent the plug connection from becoming entangled.

Anmerkung

If a zero position has been set for this sector control, this may not yet be set for the new motor box. If the sector control is switched on and the Raindancer module is connected and charged, the software will automatically try to assign this value to the new box.

Nevertheless, we ask you to check the correct alignment of the sector control before the first use. To do this, manually move to a -90°/+90° position and check whether the arms are parallel to the gun carriage.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Guide the new box into the slots provided in the mounting plate. The cables must point in the direction of the pipe and be routed between the pipe and the drive axle.
  2. Make sure to mount the spacer plate on the motor box above the mounting plate of the sector control. This plate ensures the correct distance to the mounting plate.

If you have not placed the spacer plate between the motor box and the frame, you may warp the motor box and the belt drive may not work properly.

  3. Place the belts over the pulleys of the shaft and the motor.
  4. Tension the belt with one hand by pushing the motor box forward and tighten the nuts below under tension. The belts should be tight but not so much that they cannot be pressed in any more and must not jump over.
  5. Fit belt caps over the belts and pulleys.
  6. Connect the short cable to the stop sensor and (for sector controls from 2020 ) lay it in a loose S on the riser pipe and fasten it with the enclosed cable ties.
  7. Attention: Do not forget to put the protective cap on the top extension port.
  8. Switch on the motor box at the on/off switch and check that both stops are moving. After a short time, the stops should stop and return to their initial position.

Do not forget to connect the couplers on the underside.
